Hi, friends!
While we hear more and more about ‘strange things happening’, from hearing that one song you resonate so deeply with at just the right moment, to seeing things that just don’t seem to fit ‘the norm’, to experiencing heightened sensibilities, to feeling more love and calm and peacefulness, to all kinds of ‘strangeness’ being seen all around the world … I thought I would share a moment in time with you, my loyal and beloved readers.
And, while this might be a bit of ‘strangeness’, most of what I’m talking about being seen, felt, etc is not. It’s simply more and more evidence of the changes we are all a part of, in my opinion.
To give you a bit of background, I’m a bit of a ‘tab hoarder’, as I would coin it. I use one main browser on my computer, with 2 – 3 windows open, and typically 20 – 30 tabs open in each window. Yes, I have an anxiety about forgetting something I want to go back and read, a video I want to share with my fiance, or an article I didn’t quite finish, and on and on. So, on any normal day, I am running my computer with about 60 open tabs, minimum.
Nonetheless, one of those tabs is the USGS Real-Time Earthquake Monitor. You can find it here.
As I go throughout my day, I will often flip to this tab to see if there’s anything new or any major quakes. I don’t keep track of a lot of it, but simply glance and sometimes find something interesting or what seems to me to be out of the norm at times. As I have relatives who live in Illinois, I’m especially concerned about the New Madrid Fault … probably from reading Edgar Cayce years ago and how much of the center of the USA would one day be underwater due to this fault.
Do I believe the world is going to end in major catastrophes, like earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, etc? No. But, I tend to keep my eyes open, anyway.
Soooo, long story short, I flipped through to the USGS tab yesterday, and while I’m quite sure it was simply a ‘glitch’ – I needed to refresh the page or something – the following images tell the rest of the story, and why I almost tossed my cookies when I saw this.
The first image is a screenshot of what the USGS Real-Time Earthquake Monitor map normally looks like, on any given day. Whether I refresh the page or not, it typically looks something like this …
Yesterday, when I flipped to that tab, this is what I saw …
The color red is used to show all earthquakes (2.5 magnitude or greater) within the past hour. So, you can imagine my near loss of dinner (and jumping out of my chair) when I saw this.
Now, I don’t know how it would be synchronous, but synchronicity is a word I seem to be hearing – and using – a lot more lately, so there may be a thought there. I don’t know. It was just WEIRD, and that’s probably all there is to it, but I thought it would be interesting to share with you.
Meanwhile, our month-old coffee pot … which my fiance especially adored, being that it’s red and she’s wanted a red coffee pot for longer than I can remember … decided to COMPLETELY fry today, just after 11 am. No explanation for it. No recalls on it. No warning. Bought it a month ago, and poof – it’s fried. Like, wires frying smell, smoke, and everything. We’ve decided that, while it’s nice to wake up with a fresh-brewed pot of coffee at 5 am every day, keeping a possible hazard like this plugged in for the sake of convenience – and lack of patience, waiting the 4 – 5 minutes it takes to brew – is simply not worth the risk.
There’s gotta be some synchronicity in that! 😉
